Combating climate change by reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions has become an obligation for countries that ratified the Paris Agreement. Saudi Arabia, as a member of Agreement, pledged to achieve net zero (NZE) 2060. This endeavor is challenging all countries. paper provides analysis and assessment measures NZE The reveals Arabia will reduce total 49.67 Mt CO2eq, whereas under business-as-usual scenario, would reach 1.724 million tons (Mt) CO2 equivalent (CO2eq). study sectors conducting environmental, social, governance ratings (ESG) those where government stakeholder are on right track facilitate government’s efforts in reaching NZE. gap be mainly due steel cement industries.
